Meet Taegan

The foundation of my approach to therapy is built on the deeply held belief that we already have the innate capacity to heal. Sometimes all we need is to sit across from someone who can cultivate a safe, compassionate space to reconnect with our most authentic and wholehearted self.

I recognize the courage it takes for you to be here. I am passionate about helping clients reengage in their lives from a place of authenticity and strength. Together, we will cultivate a greater capacity to practice self-compassion, courage, and acceptance. My hope is to support you in cultivating more meaningful connection, reconnecting with a sense of meaning and purpose, and living braver with your life. I use warmth, compassion, and gentle directness in my approach. I take a collaborative approach to therapy, which means we will decide together the goals and direction you wish to take. I strive to provide culturally competent and sensitive care by living the value of cultural humility and regularly pursuing continued education.

I enjoy working with diverse clientele and I am LGBTQIA+ inclusive and informed. My emphasis has been working with LGBTQIA+ individuals, young professionals, helping-professionals in early phases of their career, and young and middle-aged adults.

I began my career working with nationally recognized experts at The Meadows, a renowned inpatient center specializing in trauma and addiction recovery. There, I worked with clients struggling with substance use, compulsive behaviors, combat-related trauma, moral injury, sexual abuse, depression, anxiety, and family of origin issues. Most recently, I have worked with Arizona State University Counseling Services as Senior Staff where I have enjoyed working with the largest and most diverse student body in the U.S.
